Masanobu, a Japanese man is the world’s champion in masturbation. He holds the record for the longest masturbation session in the entire world. Japan. It’s a place. (via)

There is a whole lot of weird going on in this video, but I think the weirdest weird part of all the weird parts happens at 2:37.

“Because a real female, of course, smells dirty.  … So we have this anime.  Isn’t it clean and pretty?”

There is most certainly a WAGS essay to be written here.

I know that I sung the praises of unironic R&B covers a while back, but this Sondre Lerche cover of Countdown is good enough that I forgive an alt-dude making an acoustic cover of a pop banger.

It also makes a pretty good argument that Countdown is basically a fantastic pop song.  Strip away all the glitzy production, and the track still has an inarguably wicked melody.

Joshua Lanes - U Remind Me (Usher cover)

I’m really feeling this FRIENDS cover of “My Boo” and a lot of the critical talk around it is about how the hipster love affair with Hip Hop / R&B has now come full circle.  We now live in a era when a Brooklyn scene band can earnestly cover an R&B classic without the veneer of irony.  Forget Razorlight’s cover of “Hey Ya,” or Dynamite Hack doing “Boyz in tha Hood,” or even The Gourds countrified version of “Gin n’ Juice.”  We’re in the age of the unironic R&B cover now.

That being said, I still think Joshua Lanes’ apathetic indie rock cover of “U Remind Me” is better than the original.  And I like Usher.
