I don’t want to be a naysayer, but I think this sums up the major problem with Occupy Anything.  Dickheads like this guy just don’t give a fuck.  He’s not looking at the protesters and reevaluating the ethics of his bank account.
While the images of packed squares are heartening, I can’t shake the feeling that these protests will eventually die out and and things will just keep on keeping on.
Peaceful protest might be morally superior to a violent revolt, but I think the notion that it accomplishes much at all is a bit naive.  I mean, there’s a lot of self-congratulatory banter about the internet about Wall Street “being scared.”  I don’t think they’re scared.  They’re annoyed and they’re inconvenienced, but at the end of the day the millionaires and billionaires know that they’re going to be the last ones to feel any pinch.
